As advocates for Palestine, we remember that it’s all the same struggle. The same tools used to surveil and kill Palestinians are already being used in the US for surveillance and mass deportation.
MIDC member Rekor Systems Inc., a Maryland-based intelligence company with offices in Israel, monitors drivers on major Maryland highways. In 2024 they received $1.5M in state/federal grants to develop AI monitoring tools in Washington D.C. and Baltimore.
Rekor’s tools are used by law enforcement throughout the US and their info is regularly shared with ICE and DHS. Their biggest client overseas? Israel’s National Infrastructure Company, surveilling drivers and pedestrians in occupied Palestine.
